Deliverance, the ultimate liberation
Horizontal and vertical dimension
“By definition, to liberate implies the abolition of constraining bonds and the attainment of independence.”
The theme, liberation, release, can be understood in the horizontal, existential dimension or in the vertical, spiritual one. The two dimensions do not exclude each other.
The definition
“To liberate” means to abolish the bonds that constrain and to reach a state of independence.
- In the first case: the re-solution of certain knots of the psyche.
- In the second case: the dissolution of the entire psychic and individual order into the state that Hindus call “Moksha” and Buddhists “Nirvana”.
An organic unity
In this artwork the two dimensions merge into an organic unity, seamlessly. From this a universal form is born, in which everyone can find, in the form of a symbol, elements of their own mind.
The artwork
A square encloses the central circular motif, and together they gather the Cosmos and the Mind in their totality.
The center, solar yellow, expands into a play of psychedelic geometric possibilities, and ends in a dialectic of triangles and half lotus flowers.
Both symbols of perfection and harmony.
The explosion of colors
From the explosion of solar yellow all the colors of the visible spectrum are born.
A synthesis
Lines and colors offer a penetrating synthesis of the theme: Liberation.
A theme for meditation, and at the same time a delight for the eyes.
What remains, when every bond dissolves?
