Crystal is, par excellence, one of the natural and cultural symbols of purity; snow, moreover, enhances this symbolism due to its explicit celestial origin.

and the transcendent and supernatural purity of snow, which, falling from above, brings to earth the essence of that which, in order to be absolutely itself, bears no stain, no contamination, and becomes a symbol of the Absolute.
