Origins

““Origins” is the first Mandala produced by Giada Zammitti, the origin, indeed, of all her following work.
The name “Origins” already encapsulates every possible meaning, and every practical and theoretical implication.
The Latin root is “or-ior,” indicating birth; the Indo-European root is “Ur ‘+Iginem,’ indicating origin, beginning, root.

We are thus at the Centre, at the source, the matrix, the starting point of every subsequent, possible, reality.

For this reason, “Origins” deserves a separate, and unique, place in the artist’s entire Mandala production.
The overall pattern sticks out as dazzling and it will leave you speechless.
The eyes look, and the mind sinks into itself, down to its deepest recesses. There is no ‘meaning’, as this is the starting point of the meanings manifested in the following works.

Graphically, we see a background branching out in an inscrutable intrigue, from which a crown of petals emerges, interlocking and embracing.
More centrally, we find a similar theme, to which a pattern of hearts is added.
From here a radiant lotus flower emerges and outlines the hearts outside it.
At the centre is the Absolute Origin, a small white circle.
The colours degrade, section by section, from purple, to indigo, pink, white.

Unsurpassed perfection. The work has no specific theme, unlike all the others, but sums up the meaning of every possible one.
It is the ultimate meaning of all meanings.

Needless to say, such a masterpiece is a must in anyone’s home.”

WHAT IS A MANDALA

A mandala is a sacred geometric design that originated in ancient religious and spiritual traditions. It is often depicted as a circle with intricate patterns and symbols radiating from the center. The word “mandala” comes from the Sanskrit word for “circle,” and it represents the universe or the sacred space within it.

Mandalas are used as tools for meditation, spiritual reflection, and personal growth. They are believed to help individuals connect with their inner selves, find balance and harmony, and tap into a higher state of consciousness.

The design of a mandala is highly symbolic. The circular shape represents wholeness and unity, reminding us of the interconnectedness of all things. The center of the mandala is considered the focal point, representing the center of our being or the divine essence within us.

Creating or engaging with mandalas can be a transformative practice, offering a pathway to inner peace, self-discovery, and spiritual growth.
