Glow of the heart

“‘Glow of the Heart’ Mandala, has Summer as its inspiration.

This Mandala, therefore, proposes the universal archetype of rootedness in something that has been accomplished; and such can be symbolically considered summer, as the season in which the entire work of spring finds fulfilment and realisation.

The fruits have been harvested, the sky is warm and bright, one can rest and enjoy one’s work.
Just as ‘outside’ the granaries are full and nature continues to fill us with its summer rewards, so, ‘inside’, we feel that our roots are firm, secure; our presence in the world is alive, organic, full, contented, paying off.

The graphics favoured by Giada Zammitti are flamboyant, from the central circle, which encloses a spiroid, branch out, in a halo, leaves that host other spiroids, sometimes rising from suns, up to the pot-bellied moons that touch the sides of the square.

‘Glow of the Heart’ is the summer of every child, and of every adult who carries inside the child that was.

This is the mandala of rootedness, fullness, fulfilment and landing.”

WHAT IS A MANDALA

A mandala is a sacred geometric design that originated in ancient religious and spiritual traditions. It is often depicted as a circle with intricate patterns and symbols radiating from the center. The word “mandala” comes from the Sanskrit word for “circle,” and it represents the universe or the sacred space within it.

Mandalas are used as tools for meditation, spiritual reflection, and personal growth. They are believed to help individuals connect with their inner selves, find balance and harmony, and tap into a higher state of consciousness.

The design of a mandala is highly symbolic. The circular shape represents wholeness and unity, reminding us of the interconnectedness of all things. The center of the mandala is considered the focal point, representing the center of our being or the divine essence within us.

Creating or engaging with mandalas can be a transformative practice, offering a pathway to inner peace, self-discovery, and spiritual growth.
