Origins

““Origins” is the first Mandala produced by Giada Zammitti, the origin, in fact, of all her subsequent work.
The name ‘Origins’ already encapsulates every possible meaning, and every practical and theoretical implication.

The Latin root is ‘or-ior’, indicating birth; the Indo-European root is ‘Ur “+Iginem”, indicating the origin, the principle, the root. We are thus at the Centre, the first origin, the matrix, the starting point of every subsequent, possible, reality.
For this reason, ‘Origins’ deserves a separate, and unique, place in the artist’s entire Mandalic production.

The overall pattern imposes itself as dazzling! If one is silent, one looks and SEES, one falls silent.
The eyes look, and the mind sinks into itself, down to its last recesses.

There is no ‘meaning’, as it is the starting point of the meanings manifested in the other works.
Graphically, we see a background branching out in an inscrutable intrigue, from which a crown of petals emerges, intersecting and embracing.
More internally, we find a similar theme, to which a play of hearts is added. From here rises a radiant lotus flower, which defines the hearts outside it.
In the centre, the Absolute Origin, a small white circle.
The chromatics degrade, room by room, from violet to indigo to pink to white.

Unsurpassed perfection. The work has no specific theme, like all others, but synthesises the sense of every possible other. It is the ultimate sense of the sense of all others.

Needless to say, such a masterpiece cannot be missing in anyone’s home.”

WHAT IS A MANDALA

A mandala is a sacred geometric design that originated in ancient religious and spiritual traditions. It is often depicted as a circle with intricate patterns and symbols radiating from the center. The word “mandala” comes from the Sanskrit word for “circle,” and it represents the universe or the sacred space within it.

Mandalas are used as tools for meditation, spiritual reflection, and personal growth. They are believed to help individuals connect with their inner selves, find balance and harmony, and tap into a higher state of consciousness.

The design of a mandala is highly symbolic. The circular shape represents wholeness and unity, reminding us of the interconnectedness of all things. The center of the mandala is considered the focal point, representing the center of our being or the divine essence within us.

Creating or engaging with mandalas can be a transformative practice, offering a pathway to inner peace, self-discovery, and spiritual growth.
